Why can't the WTS handle the truth on why people really leave the organization?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inwhat do you think are the reasons why the wts can't handle the truth on why members quit?
why must they disfellowship everyone who would say something like this to an elder on why he/she no longer wishes to be a member......................................................................................................... '' i do not want to be a member any longer because of the changing ''generation'' teaching, the wts is just a publishing and real estate corporation, the preaching work is just a means to distribute books and magazines, the baptism and disfellowshipping of teenagers is wrong, the meetings are boring, the meetings are repetative, the 144,000 is symbolic not literal ...etc.....etc.....

Changing of the Guard
by man in black ini work at a local community college, and for the past two years i would notice the witnesses had a table in a student area.. usually it would have 2-4 witnesses sitting there talking to each other, or yacking on their cell phones.. but the big attraction was the banner, it was long enough to cover two card tables end to end (12-15 feet).. it said "the watchtower and awake magazines" like that alone is going to attract students.... .
this afternoon i strolled by and noticed that they have a new banner.. white background with the words :why do we suffer" in bold letters.
i thought that was pretty strange..

why is this ?
by looloo inive noticed when someone does a thread like the one recently called "stayed up all night and realised its a cult " it can be read by thousands of people and the same applies when its some new change in the borg going on , but most posts are not usually read by more than a few hundred , are these the "lurkers" if so why do you think they have the nerve to read on "wicked apostate"sites that tell "lies " but darnt comment ?
is it early days for them with the blinkers coming off ?
if any of you can answer this i would be gratefull thanks.

is there some way to tell how many people have actually looked at a comment/thread ?
I never knew that you could check this out.

Just a short observation on my Bible study.
by outlander ini thought it would be fun to say yes to a weekly bible study just to see how far i could go in undermining the j.w.
beliefs, also to be honest i thought it would make a family member happy.
so i slowly and methodically refuted and questioned all the nutty things that my study teacher, or whatever he's called, tried to throw at me over a period of about 4 months.

Breaking News: Police Arrest JW Elder for Creating Chaos at Hospital
by Scott77 ina jehovah witness man, kwabena afum and his wife, margret afum aka abena oduma, have had a brush with the law after creating an unnecessary chaotic scene at new edubiase government hospital in a bid to prevent medical officers from giving blood to their son.. .
kwabena afum was arrested last week tuesday and granted a police enquiry bail the next day for causing panic and chaos by allegedly mobilizing some members of his church to foment trouble at the hospital.. .
he has since disowned five-year-old jepheth asamoah, who is currently in the custody of the social welfare department in the district, even after his release.. .

what were your meetings for field service experiences?
by Coffee House Girl inmy mom (still in the borg) was telling me about going out with the c.o and his wife this week in field service & i started re-living the horror show that would go on during saturday meetings for field service-.
ah... the dreaded splitting up into car groups... i always felt like we were in gym class being grouped together for a game of dodgeball-.
the co and elders were the team captains and we would line up for the count.

sensitivity toward right and wrong
by man in black inthis morning i was reading an article in the paper, and a referrence was made toward st. augustine regarding his opinion on humility.. immeadly i felt upset, and after reflecting, i remember when i was a witness the wt.
made several comments over the years about how this man was a discouragement toward the true early/original jw's centuries ago.. .
but, growing up as a catholic, my grandparents attended a parish in chicago st. augustine, and throughout my younger years i learned quite a lot about the good that this man did, and the efforts he made to help the early christians.,.

(St. Frances was another example which I will not get into here)
I feel that I'm starting to ramble on here,,,,,, sorry but my point is this :
it seems that a lifetime of learning, and personal experiences was wiped clean suddenly because of the influence I allowed the wbts to have over me.
One or two comments from the wt without any solid backing just changed my thinking totally.
Has this happened to you, or was I just young and impressionable, and the after effects are still rising up years later ?

On your way "out" of the WT, did you experience physical syptoms?
by whyizit ini'm not a jw, nor have i ever been.
all of the sudden she wants to spend all this time with me.
of course, lots of what she was telling me about the "bible", didn't make sense.

stress, stress, and more stress was the major thing I experienced.
Now that I'm out it is more of a smouldering anger at having spent so many years in the organization thinking it was the almighty truth.
